Terms of Use
Effective Date: August 29, 2026
Welcome to the website of Direct Approach Security Services (“DASS,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Veteran and Minority-owned security services company based in Columbus, Ohio. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.directapproachsecurity.com and any related pages (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About This Site
This Site is provided for informational purposes to describe DASS’s security services — including commercial and residential security, church and school security, executive protection, and security assessments — and to allow visitors to learn about the Company, submit inquiries through our Contact Us page, and apply for careers with us. The Site does not process online payments, and no security services are engaged or contracted through the Site itself. Any actual provision of security services is governed by a separate written services agreement between DASS and the client, not by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information in Section 12 so we can address it.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:
Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected network or system;
Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or interfere with the Site’s normal operation;
Scrape, data-mine, or use automated means to collect content from the Site without our prior written consent;
Impersonate DASS or any other person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; or
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any contact, careers, or inquiry form.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to DASS, other users, or third parties.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise noted, all content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, video, and the DASS name and branding — is owned by or licensed to DASS and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, or create derivative works from any Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
5. Testimonials
Any testimonials or endorsements appearing on the Site reflect the individual experiences and opinions of the clients or individuals quoted. They are not necessarily representative of all clients’ experiences, and results may vary. Additional disclosures are available on our Testimonials Disclosure page.
6. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including our social media pages, that are not owned or controlled by DASS. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of use of any third-party site. Links are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement.
7. Careers and Submissions
If you submit a resume, application, or other information through our Careers page, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to submit it. Submission of an application does not guarantee an interview, employment offer, or any obligation on the part of DASS.
For general inquiries submitted through our Contact Us page, we will use the information you provide to respond to your request in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers or financial account details) through general contact or inquiry forms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Descriptions of services on the Site are general in nature; the specific scope, staffing, and terms of any security engagement are set out in a separate signed services agreement.
Content on the Site, including our News and security-tip articles, is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute security, legal, or professional advice. You should not rely on Site content as a substitute for a professional security assessment or consultation with DASS or another qualified provider regarding your specific circumstances.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DASS and its owners, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability for personal injury or property damage arising from the actual provision of security services, which is instead governed by the applicable services agreement and DASS’s insurance and licensing obligations under Ohio law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DASS and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
11. Governing Law; Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or Site functionality. The “Effective Date” above indicates when these Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
